The A team remain in the relegation zone and need a strong win at home this weekend if they are to secure their rightful place in the thrid division.

U14's - The Under 14's are at home to Brooklands A in the Cup this weekend. Please make every effort to attend and support the team in this difficult fixture.
RESULTS: A massive win away to Heaton Mersey on Saturday by the 1st team means Rochdale have 4 teams in the Flags semi finals

HALF TERM: England Camp - Tues 16th and Wed 17th. At the Club - All Players welcome. £20 for 2 days. £15 per day. Payment to be made prior to camp.
RESULTS: A Massive Cup weekend saw all the results go Rochdales way. The A Team travelled to WAC's in the Stockport Cup - WAC's are a strong team above Rochdale in the league. Rochdale destroyed them 15 - 4.

Junior Committee: The Junior development Committee meet twice per month during the season at 8.15pm on a Monday. we are currently seeking a representative for the u16's. Would any parent interested in joining speak with Allan or Chris.
Boys National Tournament: The club are hoping to send a minimum of 2 teams to this event over the weekend of 6th / 7 th March 2010. Please make every effort to keep this date clear and your son available. We are the current Nation u12's Champions and would like to retain the title.

KITCHEN: Kate is now working in the kitchen – She needs help from one or two parents at busy periods and I would ask that you try and give her 30 minutes per month help.
Kit Washing: We have published a rota for kit washing for the rest of the season. The rota is attached to the kit bags and in the club. We will include the nominated players in the Friday SMS message. Your support in this saves the club £500 per year on laundry fees.
A Team: Sheffield is not wedding, but with Ladies Lacrosse Teams, Ladies Hockey and the Rugby Lads all at home there was a feel of Razzamatazz about the place. Lax Wags waited in the wings for their un-defeted Sheffield Hereos especially as they were boosted by the cancelled 1st team MORE
Juniors: A gentle reminder to all parents that annual subs and kit hire is overdue and that the web site is the primary means of communication about match days and the text service is a back up. If any junior parent or player has not registered a phone or not been getting the text please contact Chris Brook.

Welcome: Rochdale Lacrosse are delighted to welcome Lou Cugno and his family to the club. Lou joins the 1st team this weekend in defence. Lou pedigree includes
1. 3 years Varsity Captain - with numerous awards
2. Div 1 for Drexel Uni - 2 year scholarship at crease defense
3. All America League for both Arlington and Washington Lax Club
4. Vail, Lake Placid, Ocean City elite leagues 4 years
5. Several other other tournaments.
6. Coached 8 yrs High School Madison VA
A Team: Rochdale's dominant A team shot to 3rd place in the league with a dominant away win against Sheffield Steelers on Saturday.
England U17's: There are still places left on the U17 England Academy. The Under 17 session will run from 10am – 2pm on Sunday 15th November 2009 (with registration at 12.30pm) @ Wilmslow Lacrosse Club. Age criteria: Under 17 (School Years 11 & 12)
All players need to bring suitable foot ware for Astroturf, no football boots with studs or spikes.
The cost is £30 for a session. For more details speak with Allan Collingwood.

Juniors: The club now have a text message service which will be used to give you information the day before a match. You need to register your mobile phone plus a parents mobile phone number as soon as possible. There is no charge for this service.

Cheadle fielded 19 players and their team was much stronger than expected, but as Captain Martin Humphreys pointed out: “they can only have 10 men on the pitch at any one time: - exactly the same as any other team” - MORE

The Team would hold tryouts and is open to any players from England, Scotland, Wales & Europe. Practice would then be held before the games in the Manchester area. MORE

JUNIOR FIXTURES: The junior fixtures have now been published. U12's will play three way fixtures for the first three weeks to establish thier level. We have only published fixtures for U14's. It has not however been decided yet if we are having an U16's team. More to follow.

TRAINING: All juniors both accademy and existing players are asked to attend Monday night training at Mathew Moss School. 12 and under 6pm till 7pm, 12 and over 7pm till 8pm please make every effort to attend as we will usethe next two weekes to decide on team selection.
MEMBERS: Several long term members of the club will be leaving for pastures new this week. Johny Wilson has joined the army, Nathan Collingwood, Joe Tyers and Moody all head off for University - We wish them all the best and hope to see them back on Boxing Day.

International News: Rochdale Lacrosse are once more delighted to announce that three more of it's players are heading off for National training and selection. Joe Longley will join the Welsh 1st team for training on the 12th and 13th September. The Rydings twins Richard and Charlie join the Welsh Development Squad on the same weekend.

Rochdales U12 are the current National 8 a side Champions. The club want to send two teams to defend this title at Mallvern over the weekend of 6th and 7th March 2010. Please can all players make an effort to be available.
The event cost the club two thousand pounds last year. If you have any fund raising ideas please let us know as soon as possible.
